We are very happy to announce that Journey to Hope  Counseling, LLC, is a Virginia participating provider for the following insurance plans:

• Blue Cross Blue Shield

• Aetna

• Optima

• United Health Care

• Certified Tricare East Providers

  Please also note that have recently been certified as Tricare providers. What this means, for now, is that we are non-network providers.

If you have insurance with any of these providers, you will be required to pay your co-pay at the time of service, and we will file for insurance payment with your carrier. On your first visit, please be sure to bring your insurance ID card, your drivers license, and we will call for authorization for services before your appointment begins.  We will find out for you if an authorization number is needed; verify your copay amount; and determine how many counseling sessions are covered under your insurance policy. If you have a deductible that must be met before your insurance will pay for counseling, then you will be responsible for the amount of your copay plus the remaining balance of your session until such time as your deductible is met.

If you are scheduling an appointment for a minor covered on your policy, we will need your insurance id card as well as theirs at the first appointment.  We are required to collect any copays when you check-in for your appointment.
